Rehersal Process

This is our first real rehearsal, we done this in the main hall in our school. The reason we chose this place was because of the blank white background, and we thought that it would be a good place to dance because of the basic scenery and big stage.

It lasted quite some time but we have chosen other places but this place is our first chosen location and parts from this dance scene will be incorporated.

The dance was mainly freestyle, some parts were already choreographed but the majority of what was filmed is all from improvisation. Improvisation allowed Josh to practice new moves and give the effect of something real and not being pre-planned which is a good concept in r&b songs and their videos.

Ronnie Powell/Song Permission

Here is the email confirming our permission to use the songs we have, the artist is called Ronnie Powell aka Young Truth and from the two songs given we have chosen Carosel, as you can see as an attachment.

Script

This is our Script, it tells Josh what to do and when during the song. This would be much easier than memorising the acting scenes and dancing scenes.

Animatic - Semo Josh

This is the Animatic video which Josh and I created. It took us a fair amount

of time and we found holding the camera steady a bit of a issue. But we

managed to film it well and in time after a considerable amount of editing.

CD cover Drafts

These are the first couple of drafts of our CD Cover and Magazine Advert, we incorporated some of the images you see here into our CD cover but these drafts helped up organise and design the display of out CD Cover

This is when i sent out the email via youtube, i contacted an artist called 'carmacitacheekz', this was before i found Ronnie Powell. However this artist was unable to grant me the permission to use his song as it was not actually his, he was just promoting. This was one obstacle we managed to overcome as we managed to find another song - Carosel.
